I agree with this in spirit. He's not "scared". But he may have kind of a queasy feeling in his stomach.

Think about the premise of the whole steroid accusation. The premise is that Pacquiao is inhumanly good. He's impossibly good, he's so freakishly strong and fast, that he MUST be on steroids.

Is that not the logic at the base of it all? If not, then what IS the logic? If Pacquiao had merely muddled along, scraping by against De la Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, etc. then would the steroid accusation have been made?

People get scared. Manny Pacquiao is a little beast of a fighter, he represents a hard fight. Even a win against him is going to hurt you pretty badly.

That doesn't mean that Manny is guilty. Maybe he is just that good. The issue here is that if he was there would not be so many inconsistencies between what he says and does. Especially in regards to drug testing.

How would you know? All talented fighters who become gym rats are great boxers. Not the other way around.

Manny says very little, he can barely speak. All kinds of stuff comes out of his "camp" and no doubt much of it is inconsistent. That's not rally very good evidence that he's taking steroids. Neither is the fact that he's "really good". Michael Jordan was "really, really" good, too. So is Floyd Mayweather.

I could careless about this fight anymore. I'm getting sick of boxing. And I've been a big boxing fan for 33 years. I've made my move with James Toney to UFC. They are putting on the fights people want to see. Boxing's best days are over in the USA. Look for boxing to go down the drain with sports like kickboxing.

 

its pretty ****ing sad when long time fight fans of the sport are now starting to watch more MMA than boxing, its **** like this that turns the true fan away from the sport, we dont care who gets paid what, we dont care about no specifics we want good fights and thats what a fan should be about demanding the best fight the best, Boxing has turned into a cherry picking business and sadly its costing the sport the very fans that do pay their bills.
I have caught myself in the last two years watching more MMA than big fights on PPV and that has nothing to do with hate, it has everything to do with nobody fighting nobody...
Boxing better wake up and get it together cus fans are not going to spend their hard earned cash on a BS mis match...

I can see your point and until the first negotiation I was pretty neutral.

I don't fault Pac for being "good". Nobody should. However when a guy says you are a cheater and you actually EARNED being good? You don't take that crap lying down!

If Pac was an innocent man he would have drawn a line in the sand and dared anyone to cross it. Instead he came out with multiple lies and misdirection. These are not the actions of an honest man.
