I never really thought Tua's weight was too much of a problem, his stamina usually seems fine, his only problem is that he cannot cope with boxers/outfighters.

I still dont get how people are taking Tua's recent fights seriously, he is not good enough to win a title so he just uses his name to get big money fights.

I mean at least a guy like Briggs would stand a chance if he fought for a title, he already won one.

Tua will not win a Major title. He is a solid B level fighter who gets slightly more recognition because of his power.

How do you work that out?

Briggs is not only old and past it but is crippled by asthma. He can barely fight 5 rounds at any kind of pace.

Hes been in what looks like good shape for most of his last several fights, still got a bit of flubbergut because he went >300lbs during his layoff, but its his skills thats the issue IMO. I dont see Monte "running" as much as Ahunanya did who took Tua for 12 rounds but didnt throw much, mid rounds KO?

Oh, Im in the Birish forum woops, posted from main page, how is it me old barnacles

Exactly!!!! Very strange comment, based on the fact he 'previously won a title'............a robbery against an ancient Foreman.

Tua WON'T win a title unless he gets a fight with Haye, which won't happen as he's stylistic kryptonite for the Hayemaker. But I agree, he's still fresher and more dangerous than Briggs.

    Is Briggs fighting Vitali next?

Would love it, AND I MEAN LOVE IT.... if Briggs beat him.

Probably not going to happen... but can dream all the same.

The ****** room would go into meltdown..... ''Lewis beat a prime Briggs, Vitali lost to a shot one''
