Yes, because he was a Lightweight. He has tremendous achievements at Lightweight, brilliant skills, plenty of depth to his record and top-notch longevity.

How would Hagler have done against Muhammad Ali? How would Benny Leonard or Pernell Whitaker done against Hagler? Clue: It spells KTFO. It's a credit to Duran that he was able to give a prime version of one of the best H2H Middleweights ever a close fight and not just get humiliated and sparked.

Duran beating Leonard was a better achievement than any win any of the others have. Leonard beating Hearns comes close.

Who are these fans? who in their right mind would ever think duran was winning that. He came in to the fight fat. He was getting clowned, he couldn't connect, and he got frustrated and quit. That's Duran-Leonard II, and that's all there is to this fight.

 

The only thing more insulting than saying "I thought Duran was winning" would be too say "Leonard fans thought Duran was winning"....

 

I asked you if you'd ever been to see a closed circuit live fight or any major fight in London/Vegas or New York or is your observational wisdom all based from watching fights on u-tube & never actually expereancing the atmosphere & drama of a live event:smoke

 

I've seen the type of people who always go to see the fights live...I've been to three myself, and trust me, paying for a ticket doesn't make you a more intelligent fight fan...if anything...it seems to be the opposite. You're a prime example, actually. You show us all these posters you've picked up over the years...and you still come out with silly **** like "Leonard fans all had Duran winning".
