If this fight never happens because of this then it will haunt him for his entire career in my opinion, even in the long run when he's done and retired people will bring that up whenever his career is mentioned. I do as well but you also have to take into consideration what they don't do. This won't take away from anything that floyd has done but it will seriously hurt his legacy as it will make him look like a ducker.

Of course it will hurt his legacy, it's all about fighting the best guys in your era. Who else will he fight unless he moves up to middleweight for Martinez and Martinez is already booked, there's no one in the middleweight division either.
