Why has Mayweather made no statement?

Why would he do this when he agreed not to say anything?

Look at the past. Mayweather, probably more appropriately Ellerbe and Schaefer, don't say much at all when something isn't close to happening. Mayweather throws out a few feelers and then all of a sudden... deafening silence. It just seems to be the way they operate.

The fact that Arum is doing what he is doing and it mirrors what happened last time leads me to believe that he is leveraging this Friday deadline to:

-- Get out of the fight in a position of strength
-- Have an in house fight
-- Still be left holding the "Ace" in the winner of the fight

In my heart of hearts I feel he is throwing Manny to the wolves because he knows he is moving on from fighting. He needs another Top Rank fighter to keep generating him cash. Roach better check the handwraps!

Having an intelligent public would save his PR a$$ but... Oh well.

Too bad that statement wouldn't be hard to prove/disprove if someone in Team MW would open their mouths.
It's kind of hard not to take Arum's words as truth when no one is disputing it when they easily could over such a long period of time.... unless of course Arum sent his team of ninjas to silence them...

Pacquiao ducked Mayweather and didn't sign the fight over random drug testing and everybody gave him a mf pass! That's bull**** in itself. If Mayweather wants to wait til Roger's trial and fight in 2011 what's the big deal?

Bull****... the public can only form an opinion based on the information they have. If Mayweather wants to educate the public, then he can open his mouth... or at the very least, send someone that can speak for him.

Look, this getting ridiculous. If what Arum's saying isn't completely truthful, then just ****ing come out and say it. The fact GBP is completely silent on this looks bad on Floyd, too. And furthermore, like I said, if he really wants to get the fight made, why isn't he going back to Arum to attempt more reconciliation?

He could at least let us know, that's the problem and I would understand. But keeping quiet knowing a ton of fans especially the ones who just voted you fighter of the year are waiting for at least a response is taking the ****.:bart

You know it is kind of sad. I school you on here all the time. Stop and think about that. You get the crap kicked out of you on a regular basis by a:

    -- homosexual
    -- uneducated
    -- crack baby
    -- from the ghetto

Seriously man. You really should get you a stiff drink. Turn the lights down real low. Put on some jazz, blues, or country and really take an assessment of your life.

    Just sip and think.

Sorry Scar. Nobody called him a cheater. Fighters are entitled to stipulations and people are entitled to their opinions last time I checked. Maybe you aren't American?

How far is enough when you have the resources and power to ensure your safety?

Look at the leader of a nation. Is all that really necessary? Then again when you have the money, power, and resources... Who cares? You do what you can.

He knows that Manny Pacquiao will beat him relentlessly. Floyd is the biggest coward in the midst of land of the brave. But American boxing fans are in denial..FLOYD MAYWEATHER is FRAUD, FAKE and COWARD.
