Nah i'm only messing, dead pleased for him- he's got some fine wins. European Champion- can't argue with that as jealous as some people seem to be. I'm amazed he seems to have so little in terms of talent but just keeps winning tough fights. I'll never be a fan of his fights but every creedit to him.

He needs to sort his domestic rivals out before he goes for a World Title...:yep

He won fair and square tonight, by a round and maybe not seven rounds...:yep

If his brother would not have been as succesful he would have retired a long time ago...:yep

It's true he seems a little limited but very determined. I suppose the shadow of his bro's success spurs him on. Like you say any fighter would like to win a title and successfully defend against a tough cookie.

BTW I saw you got a quote in this July's boxing monthly. About the up and coming's. nice one.

Cracking post:thumbsup. Yet the mindless, irrational hate of another semi-successful British fighter continues:conf.

The Magic Matt bashing is getting stupid now, IMO. I fully understand the criticism he got around two years ago and the discontent fans had towards him for getting opportunites on account of his surname (I'll happily admit that I was one of those fans), but he's put some decent wins and performances together in his last half a dozen fights or so and he's definately made improvements to his game as well. What's to dislike about someone trying their best? Yeah, he may be a bit of a tit on a personal level, but twats are ubiquitous in society anyway. Yes, he may also have an ugly style, but how many other fighters do? As a sportsman, he at least deserves credit for what he's done recently, IMO.

Some people don't want to believe in magic; they don't think it's real. Well, I'm telling you this **** is real, people, and I for one believe in Matt's particular brand of magic. Lets hope he makes the critics disappear once and for all:yep.

If the Alvarez fight does happen, I do think Matt's going to be on the end of a pretty vicious beating, though. Full credit to Hatton if he takes the fight.

Sincerely I give him credit- he's shocking to watch but he does the job.

i thought he did well tonight . Its easy to mock Matt and i know i've done it but he got a good win against a solid Euro level fighter and showed a bit of character to turn it round after a bad start . That said he's no where near world level .

i agree, :good had him 2 rounds infront against a good strong pressure fighter, showed he can mix in good class, goodluck to him i enjoyed the fight,. ps were was craig watson in euro ratings? they should fight first for the euro, if hatton retains, it would hold him in good stead for an attack on the world. though i doubt he will win it.
