Figuratively speaking of course. What are his flaws? A prime Marquez

  2. If we're talking about JMM, he has terrible defense.

He is not a very good aggressor.

Yeah his defense is not all that great. His offense though (in his prime) was a ****ing sight to behold though, he never needed defence with his attacks.

Even the version that fought Pac was not prime, check out some early footage he was remarkable.

    His warrior spirit.

Marquez has all the tools to be a defensive counter puncher, but his warrior spirit gets the best of him, and he is someone who si always willing to go to battle...

When he was KD against Pacquiao in the second fight, the mother****er got up and started going toe to toe with pac!!!!!

Susceptible to KDs. His defence can often be penetrated by fast leads, and his chin and/or legs are not granite which would see him simply absorb the shot. Even old Barrera dropped him. Thankfully, his powers of recovery are superb.

Well, I mean as a lead vs a counter puncher.

He needs a guy to counter in front of him.

His defense was always his achilles heel. In his prime he had decent speed, good power, but most of all had great timing. That's why many of the best fighters did not want to face JMM in his prime. But yea, I'd say his defense was his only major flaw.

He tries to please the crowd too much, gets dragged into battles when he is clearly the smarter boxer.

I think it's the other way around bro.. In his prime, Marquez was known to be way toooo defensive minded, a safety first fighter who didnt engage as much... Back in his prime, he was defense first, then offense second which was why he didnt get much attention back then....

Marquez is just a great great man
