I agree Tyson looked far from stellar in a the bonecrusher Smith fight himself then got beat by an average fighter in Buster Douglas don't even think its close to be honest.

Alexis often looked hittable and beatable...even at Super Featherweight.

...You're the ****ing ass clown I've been talking about for the last hour. If you were sporting a Leonard avatar...you'd be getting it from all angles on here...but instead, you're a Duran apologist...so I'm fighting alone.

He did, but that's not a reason to not have him at number one. I don't have him at number one, but he is definitely acceptable. Popkins had emabarrassing reasoning there, he's a good poster though. The point he made about Floyd looking MORTAL for a couple of rounds was embarrassing though.

I think if Popkins had been drinking tonight and was in a "who gives a ****" mood, he'd probably admit to having it in for Floyd...if only a tad bit.

What I mean is, Modern day fighters are heavily criticized if they turn in a bad performance...but Alexis came up against all sorts of problems during his supposed peak, but it's unthinkable to suggest a world class, hall of famer like Barrera would have posed some significant problems...whereas Ganigan had him reeling.

Yeah, i'm with you on that. Like i said, nobody batted an eyelid at Antonio Cervantes breaking down and stopping Zab Judah with the jab. Do the styles breakdown Addie, and then laugh.

When i watch a fight, the date of the fight is not relevant to me.

Permission already granted. Proceed as you wish. You going around whining about Duran fans is definitely going to change things. It will be worth it in the end for sure.

Yeah the older fighters struggles get brushed under the carpet alot. For instance someone like Zab Judah would cause problems for alot of great fighters but if you matched him with any on here he'd get dominated, destroyed etc even though hes been competitive with a lot of goodfighters of this era. Not saying he'd win btw

I've heard people say in the classic, respected posters, claim that the likes of Lupe Pintor was every bit as good as Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales.

    Opinions?

How many rounds have you counted Pacquiao losing in the last 7 years? :yep

Crumbs. You've seized on a word I've used. Maybe I should have used another, but I'm certainly not embarrassed about it, not remotely. As I quite clearly stated in that post, losing a couple of rounds is 'nothing really' and it doesn't prevent Floyd from being a great superfeather, but the Chavez fight is always in my mind when people are acclaiming Floyd as a superfeatherweight. He was a great one, but he wasn't untouchable, as people often make out.

Barrera and Morales both>Pintor, he was a good fighter though. Pintor was very good, they'd be interesting fights for sure. Barrera always worried me by virtue of his inconsistecny, but i'd still favour him over Pintor. Morales would definitely beat him imo.
