I liked the look of Quigg.

Only problem may be his power. He looks like a fast, sharp, accurate puncher, but either Reid can take em like Scotty Harrison or Quigg doesn't punch as hard as his KO ratio would have you believe. Of course I'm basing this on the fact (or my opinion) that the stoppage was a bull**** call.

His 1 round blow out of Lukin would suggest he has decent enough power. Lukin hadn't been stopped before (or since) and has fought in good company, but apparently Quigg stopped him with a body punch in under a minute.

I completely disagree, I thought Quigg looked entirely comfortable. Reid was acting tough, he was tough, but nothing was particularly accurate about his work he was just marching forward.

The only thing it did was raise a question about how brutal Quigg's power really is. I thought he moved and picked his shots well.

What's to explain? He just looks miles better than him. That's an admittedly crap video and I should see more of him before commenting but **** it thats my opinion based on that.

I'm not saying that guys crap but he's not better than Quigg.

Let me ask you the same question, what makes him better than Scott Quigg?

I don't see the jab Scott Quigg has, he's punching quite round house a lot of the time, he doesn't have that punching technique Quigg does, especially considering Quigg is a relative novice to the game. He's going backwards a lot of the time which is fine, but we've seen Quigg mix his style up a lot so I can't say he's more rounded than Quigg. His punch technique and balance doesn't suggest he punches harder than Quigg and Quigg has shown an impressive punch variety in his career so far.

That defensive posture, okay great against a tomato can but how many guys pull that off at the next level? Quigg has a very sound defensive basis where he's not only moving his upper body but keeps a tight guard which I'd much rather hang my hat on at this point.

Quigg's fought better opponents too to actually measure him against.

Mate you are just full of **** here. And I actually would agree with a lot of your analysis as usually you are quite sharp. But, saying Quigg is miles better than Frampton based on a grainy youtube vid of one round - were he looked good - is ridiculous.

Do you know his opponent Bailey? If you did you wouldnt be waxing bollocks in that other post about Frampton fighting on the backfoot:lol:

Ps - Sorry, boxrec doesnt count as a get out of jail card here

It couldn't just be that Frampton is the better fighter could it? :think
