It makes you wonder how a World class wrestler gas so quickly in MMA.
I tell you I see the exact same thing with Baroni and to some extent Randleman, I swear it has something to do with them roids:lol:

    ill go coleman.
i think a prime coleman can and will beat him in much the same way as ricco and barnett did. given that randy is hopeless on his back the big question is whether mark can get him down. i think he would.

You do realize that Randy was put on his back by Randleman and managed to hold him off with his guard until Kevin gassed and Randy pounded his face in?

Barnett and Ricco took Randy out in the 2nd and 4th rounds those guys had stamina and took beatings from Couture early in that fight. Coleman has **** stamina like Chimba says he cant last more then 4 minutes and if he was on his back like Barnett and Ricco where in those Randy fights then Randy would have stopped him in violent fashion just like he did back in February. BTW 2002 was not Randy in his prime and thats what this thread is about prime for prime. More recent verisons of Couture handled himself well on his back hes the only person to my knowledge to escape back to his feet vs Lesnar after a takedown, survived deep chokes from Nogueira and rolled out of Vera's mount like it was a mount from a white belt. What fighter has Coleman finished (Shogun dont count) is even close to what a 2007 Randy Couture was like ?

Coleman would clamp Couture to the mat for 3-5 rounds

pretty much agree with this post in every aspect

would add that i would still have taken randy back in 97-98 even though he got better after that

even so no doubt coleman would have had a chance in those first 3 to 4 minutez

  13. Coleman for me as well, much better wrestler and far better record.

Based on what ? Ill leave the wrestling thing for debate because although Randy threw Coleman on his ass Mark did beat him in the 80s in a match. As for record :rofl First off Randy choked him out COLD, won 5 Championships and defended them he didnt win a title and then lose 4 straight fights. Coleman has a solid resume but his best wins not counting the fluke vs Shogun (not much different then Belfort's over Couture) his best wins would be Don Frye and an exhaused Igor who cleary fought the tougher fights that night in the OWGP. Randy's best wins would be Vitor 2x, Tito, Liddell, Gonzaga, Sylvia etc all these guys and more would own Coleman. Also Coleman is 16-10 and Randy is 18-10. So id love to know what gives Coleman a better record then Couture.
