Of course he was going to get irritated eventually, because there was nowhere to go with it, he was saying he didn't feel confident in Marco at the time. What is he supposed to do once you have proved that Marco was consistent? Go back in time, and amend his feelings before MAB's big fights? That debate could only end one way with you in your tenacious mood.

Now of course I'm not for a second suggesting that I am any better than you in that regard, am I ****. I do the same thing all the time. But if you have a problem with Duranimal, why don't you have it out with him instead of wringing your hands and looking to the skies?
