I'm sensing a TKO in a few rounds.

    Round 4

Guerrero is barking and spraying punches at the head of Smith with both hands. Smith is in a defensive shell and trying to wait to counter Guerrero on the inside with short uppercuts and the like. Guerrero keeps headhunting. Smith goes back at him with a left hook. Guerrero begins to bring his arms up and shorten his punches into little rapid-fire sequences at short range right into Smith's face and guard.

Smith needs to get his head back into the fight. He seems nonplussed.

    Round 5

Guerrero rushes out and starts piling punches on Smith once more. Smith tries to get off the odd 1-2 when he has a moment to get a punch in edgewise, but Guerrero is just overwhelming him with volume. Not speed, necessarily - just constant volume. Smith tries a three punch combo but Guerrero puts his head down and flings a straight left hand into Smith's chin. Both go to the body and they clinch. Smith goes back to the body and hits below the beltline - fortunately there wasn't much on either of the pendulous shots.

That was a very clear Guerrero 10-9 round.

WTH was that? Ref stopping the fight to chat with the promoter? This is one funky ref.

God I hate when the ref is awkward in a fight...

    Round 6

Smith may have just had a point deducted for repeated low blows? No. :blood It was just Randy Phillips lecturing Smith's promoter. Weird.

Guerrero continues to keep his hands busy. Smith starts to punch a bit more than in the last round but is focused mostly on the body and his aim still isn't so hot as several shots stray below the beltline. Phillips finally does take the point from him. Guerrero backs him toward a corner with his jab. Smith grabs Guerrero on the way in.

    10-8 Guerrero with the deduction.

I think he's indecisive. God help this ref if he ever has to deal with controversy.

Yeah, but you usually give warnings to the fighters, not their promoters.

The announcers said he's refereed every fight including all undercard fights and all three main events. He's probably a bit tired.
