We didn't know whether he signed or not, and we didn't know what kind of breathing room he'd five mayweather after tonight's deadline, and whether or not there was an immediate contract for a fighter right after tonight.

We also learned that Floyd may have some additional time....This isnt done...It just means they can start talking to other fighters..particular tony and cotto...

Look guys pac has agreed to mayweather's old demands. 14 days cut off.

Floyd said pac will never get that deal again and went to the do the random testing with mosley with no known cut off date. Which makes it random.

Arum and pac will not accept this. Floyd camp is sticking firm to this.

Until this issue is resolved we will see no fight.

Roger situation has **** all to do with why the fight is being held up, this is bob way of diverting your attention away from the contract which he would lead you to believe has been agreed by both parties.

Jeff mayweather came out yesterday and said the only thing holding up the fight is the drug test. Floyd camp want fully random, pac camp wants floyds old offer.

    That's the way it stands.

Considering the issues with Roger, it would be somewhat of handicap to Floyd, I think, to go into a big fight like that without his head trainer and hype man. I say the fight gets made next year. This year Arum can make his 54%.

I love how Arum kept avoiding the question as to whether Margarito deserves to fight Pac or not. It's hilarious. Also, he points out that Bradley and Williams isn't a household name but does not try to justify why Clottey got a chance. He also wouldn't go into details about the specifics of the deal which becomes a huge piece of missing info.

I'll credit Arum for leaving the door slightly open for Floyd though. I guess the bright side to this situation is I can save up money to attend a potential fight in March or May of next yr. At least the weather will presumably be more pleasant.

Whatever. Glad it's done and over with. **** on Floyd all you want but as far as I'm concerned the score is even as both opposing parties backed out when they had a chance to make the fight happen. I'm not gonna play the blame game. I just think it's damn unfortunate that fans have to go through this mess.

Yeah...I agree with you, for the most part. I read what Jeff had to say. However, I do think Roger not being there could affect Floyd's preparation to some degree. But, who knows. He has Jeff and May Sr. as replacements. The only matter of concern is that Floyd Sr. is, probably, not as confident as Roger is, when it comes to preparing Floyd for certain types of fighters. Not sure what to say about Jeff.

Good point about Clottey. But, ultimately, Clottey gets the nod over Williams and Bradley, because, he's in-house...IMO. Yes, this dude was CLEARLY skirting the question, regarding Margarito's right for such an opportunity. But, I think again, it's a just a win-win for Top Rank. I'd be surprised if either option does much better than the Clottey fight, at least on PPV. I'm sure as hell not paying for either one. :nono I will wait for the replay.

Keeping it in-house tells me the promoter is too selfish and isn't willing to go the extra distance to give the fans what they truly want to see. It's not conducive to challenging a boxer's great talent. Pac might as well retire if he's not gonna get fights outside of his own stable because at this point Top Rank welters do not pose much of a challenge. I like to think the sport is bigger than money. Arum thinks otherwise. Yeah, like you I won't pay for the upcoming Pac fight. Sad day for Boxing.
