Rafael said exactly the same thing. If there wasn't an agreement, why would Mayweather, Ellerbe, Haymen etc., not say anything? I said it before the deadline ended that if there wasn't a deal, they needed to say so before the deadline ended. Anything after that, just makes them look like they ducked but want to save face by disputing it after the deadline is done.

While I feel your bitterness, we should not lose sight of the fact that the outcome has always been in Floyd's hands, and still is until another bout is finalized for Pacquiao. Maybe we should be letting Floyd hear about our bitterness that he didn't even respect boxing fans enough to say something, anything!

Rafael has enough sources to check up on it, don't you think? How many times has he had scoops from HBO, yet you think he's going to print bull**** lies when he could easily check? I don't like Rafael at all but he is consistent.

What is hard to understand, did you hear the interview. Rafeal said he hasn't spoke to anyone in floyd camp or golden boy. He only spoke to arum. Go check out his articles again on the issue and don't make **** up.

 

I want to hear what Pacquiao's take on all this is aswell...was he told the bout was close? did he realise there was no direct contact between the two camps? And I know he fights anyone Arum puts in front of him...but does he really want to be fighting Cotto again? I mean going over old ground...for a belt he will get very little credit for...

 

It is absolutely hilarious, It is Arums fault ,it is Manny's fault . The movie will be called the 500 excuses of Floyd Mayweather Jr. The guy chases parked cars.

2. Manny Pacquiao - won't get the estimated $40M to spend on furthering his political dreams
3. The people of Sarangani - they would've gotten more than a hospital and a university if the fight had gone through
4. *****s - will have a hell of a time defending Floyd's ducking in forums everywhere
5. *******s - won't have the pleasure of seeing Manny give Floyd the beating he richly deserves
6. True boxing fans - robbed of the biggest fight in the history of boxing
7. GBP's Richard Schaeffer - looks like a tool now for talking about a gag order when he was not even in the loop during the negotiations
8. Oscar dela Hoya - even more of a tool for saying in TV that the fight was nearing completion, then being contradicted by his own employee
9. Al Haymon - loses his aura and standing with HBO as Mayweather's influential adviser


The winners:

1. Bob Arum - the old f@ck gets to keep all of the profits inside his own house
2. Boxing writers and websites - milked the floyd-pac saga for all the hits they could get, and will still benefit in the near future due to the expected deluge of posts and comments
3. Miguel Cotto or Antonio Margarito - whoever will be lucky enough to get the payday
4. Paul Williams - may have an outside shot since Haymon will be bending over backwards to Arum's terms in order to give HBO a consolation fight
