What else could Pacquiao's side have done to persuade Floyd to agree already?

    As far as speculation goes, the contract that Pacquiao agreed to is very similar if not the same one they were talking about last March.

    I know with Floyd beating Mosely the conditions could have changed some, but I don't think out side of a slightly bigger purse and an even shorter cutoff date they could have massaged his ego enough outside of completely cutting themselves short.

    I also don't get why people are being so pissy at Arum. Sure he may have been fudging the details a little bit, but at least he was civil. I also feel that we was hoping that this was all over by now. But I also think that the cutoff date was a legitimate thing. Can anyone else name a boxer who had a very serious career outside of the ring?

    Do you really think that's the only reason Floyd is holding out?

    Do you think he truly believes that Pac is going to roid up in those 2 weeks and actually hurt him?

    same here.

    Arum would probably make more money in Pac-Floyd than Pac-Cotto and Pac-Margo combined. It was in Arum's interest for this fight to be made.

    I agree, bro. We all know that Arum is a lying *******, but not in this case.

    Was there a face-to-face negotiation between Arum and Haymon? No. Was there even a negotiation? YES.

    The fact that HBO's Ross Greenburg was the moderator and Al Haymon was talking for Floyd was even more impressive than the Top Rank-GBP talks conducted last year, IMO. After all, it is often said that there is only a handshake agreement between Floyd and GBP. Fans were all calling for HBO to throw its weight around to make this fight. This time, HBO took the initiative and acted as the go-between.

    If Arum lied about anything in his statement to the press today, then surely Greenburg or Haymon will call him out on it. And when we hear nothing from HBO or Haymon in the coming days, it will vindicate Arum.
