Sparring especially against top class opponents is fine but the fighter is under absolutely no pressure to perform, get them under the lights and its a completely different situation. They might have all the moves in the world but if they can't handle pressure then all the form in the gym isn't worth a hill of beans

thats different than saying "performances in sparring mean fúck all".

Of course its different but its a better indication than fighting schleps!

As Floyd Mayweather says " Guys throw the same punches as me in the gym, Lift the same weights, Run as fast BUT when they get under the lights on fight night they don't perform the same as me" That for me is the top and bottom of the gym fighter debate....:good

I am not saying that its the same - I am saying its an indication - and better indication then watching a fighter in against a Bulgarian bathroom attendant.

p.s. Floyd talks a lot of shíte! :good

For someone that talks a lot of ****, he sure can back it up and if you weigh up his shite talk versus his bank balance you will see the scales of justice leaning very heavily towards to greenbacks...:deal

Quigg has virtually no amateur experience so that is worth taking into account. I look forward to seeing him progress.

I have to say I like what I am hearing about Carl so far so good. I really must try and get up to see the lad fighting live. As others have said there paths will cross during there time in the ring be it a British title fight or a domestic ding dong. Keeps prograsing the way he is he will get coverage on Sky just like Paul McCloskey when he went back on Sky to win the British title out of nowhere as the Sky team said.

He looks more impressive here. I honestly didn't mean to come across like I'm slating him because I'm sure he's a fine prospect I just don't think he's as good as Quigg based on the crap footage thats out there. Hopefully I can see him on FFN soon.

Scott Qiggs an excellent fighter, ive seen alot of his fights from ringside and have really enjoyed watching him. In my opinion tho Carl is better in every department, and is still improving rapidly. Will be a great fight when it happens but im convinced Carl will be a huge star. None of his fights have been shown on sky yet everyones still talking about him, thats because the people who have seen him fight live go away and tell everyone!

Quigg looked to have all the moves but when he was throwing combos he would move out of range and not be in a position to press forward until the stoppage of course, this will come experience though.

I'm just looking forward to the first time Carl gets knocked down and gets back up, in fervent hopes a commentator will bellow "Frampton comes alive!"
