Maybe the talk about Roger going to jail is too embarressing for him to speak about. Its a **** excuse to say and the reason why he dont want to earn 50 million.

Arum has always been a POS but now Floyd has finally gone ahead and proved that he is scared of Pac, boxing is in a shitty state.

Why would you think he cares? People have been saying this stuff about him for years. I'm sure he's used to it and he probably doesn't pay attention to it anymore. When you think about it, it could make the fight an even bigger event. If they hate him and think he's afraid, it'll force these guys to eat their words after paying to watch him lose if he beats Pacquiao. It will make the win look even bigger. It will catapult Mayweather's status when he embarrasses Pacquiao, because the casual fans and idiots at ESPN won't see it coming.

That's why I don't believe the idea that Arum is simply lying.

If Arum is lying, why the **** is Mayweather allowing his name to be dragged through the dirt? People can say he's on holiday but he has a ****ing phone, doesn't he? All he has to do is make one phonecall to say "You know what, this is bull****, nothing was agreed" but he hasn't. Ellerbe hasn't stuck up for him, Al Haymen hasn't. Nobody has said a thing, whilst every boxing journalist and the mainstream media is calling him a coward.

He needed to say something before the deadline is up. Anything after, will just seem like he's backtracking, so the damage is already done. He had his chance to either accept the fight or say there was no offer and he didn't take that chance. If he says "There was no offer" now, people won't believe him. However, he should still say something because his reputation is so low.

Even if he wants to be boxings bad guy, being a coward is not the image any fighter wants.

It such bad publicity for the sport it's unbelievable, and it lends serious legitimacy to those who would say the best never fight the best in boxing because there is no framework in place to enforce it.
    Sad, sad stuff.

    1. Arum said that both sides agreed on the contract, but they haven't even spoken to Mayweather's team. That sounds like a lie to me.

    2. There is supposed to be a gag order, which would explain why Team Mayweather isn't talking.

it's a difference if it's your everyday ******* or margdorito fan. Or even your low level boxing site writer. But when you are blasted out on sports center rotation... That is in your face. It's like being punched in public and walking away. Simply bc you can defend yourself.. A statement.. Quick interview with kenny. You are a sports star on the top of the food chain. You have to make a move.

Both sides need to sit down and talk to each other ducko to ducko. Forget phone discussions they need to see each other beak to beak and figure something out.

That's exactly the point. It is a big difference. If everyone hates him and expects him not to sign, what will the reaction be when he does? What will the reaction be if he dismantles and humiliates Pacquiao? This will add to his bank account, because even more people will pay to see him get destroyed and it will drastically improve his legacy by beating someone that no one thought he could beat and was afraid of. He gets to shut people up for good, make even more money, and improve his legacy by leaps and bounds all in one motion. It makes for a better story and great stories build legacies.
