If Floyd signs in the next few days, then youd be calling him a genius.

But again, when you have a monopoly like an ESPN who everyone in North America gets their TV sports from (NO one else) calling you a coward. Only way to diffuse it is to make a big announcement accepting to fight.

You don't back Floyd into a deadline and a corner and expect him to play on your terms.

He's not that kind of guy.. Arum knew this tactic would not work.

    1. Neither sides spoke directly. It was all to Ross Greenberg, who worked out an arrangement that both sides agreed to.

    2. Don't be ****ing stupid. You think Arum can openly ask for a comment from Mayweather, who is thinking "I can't, there's a gagging order!!!". Seriously, that's just absolutely idiotic.

    Exactly.

If Mayweather wasn't in the wrong here, why would he allow the mainstream to tear him apart, when he could just ring ANY news station in America or ANY journalist and say "They're wrong". It's a 5 minute conversation he or any of his advisors could make. Yet he hasn't.

There's only two reason: His team and him are doing an awful job, which contradicts his entire career so far, or there was an offer, which he hasn't accepted.

Its better for him to stay permanently retire than saying something like he needs another 2yr vacation.

Nobody will call him a genius. Genius would be to call Sports Center with 1 minute to go and say "Pacquiao, I accept". Genius would be letting Bob Arum announce the fight after everyone thought his time had run out.

Genius isn't letting the whole of America see the supposed best fighter in the world as a coward and then him feebly saying "Oh, guys? I accept".

    Err:

    1. There haven't been any negotiations.

    2. The negotiations that haven't happened are subject to a gag order so Floyd couldn't talk about them if they existed, which they don't.

    :huh

Arum said they agreed to the stipulations right? That's obviously not the case. The only person who said they agreed was Arum. Jeff Mayweather has said all along that Floyd hasn't agreed. How is Arum not lying?

Did you ever think that Mayweather is just upholding the gag order like he was asked to? How is that me being stupid for realizing this? It's pretty clear that you're the stupid one. They asked Both sides not to talk during the first negotiations right? Team Pacquiao did and Mayweather didn't. There is another gag order this time right? Arum is talking and Mayweather isn't. Is that too hard to see?

:goodi don't think a framework could enforce it but MMA kills boxing here. GSP, Fedor, etc. fight the best. mayweather takes 2 year retirements to beat up featherweights. pac is scared of needles and takes on an overrated, whiny welter in clottey. i love pac and used to love mayweather but i can't defend our sport with this

What do you think the punishment is for breaking a supposed gagging order, that, by the way, Arum has also been bound by? A fine? 2 years in prison? Maybe they'll ship him off to Iran and have the **** stoned to death? If he breaks the gagging order, he can say "So? You wanted an answer, now **** off".

For **** sake, mate, get a grip.

And Jeff Mayweather's information has not been backed up by credible reporters. Arum said Pacquiao accepted. Other reputable sources have said both sides used Greenberg as a middle man and they came to an agreement, which Pacquiao accepted.
