which is what i'm saying. he liked to get in there and brawl it out but he never showed any really advanced infighting. Too bad really, cause it would make him much more competitive at 147 against the tall dudes like williams.

Maybe they figured out he got knocked the **** out twice through the body, so it's not good to put him in a range that makes body shots easy.

He can play his fast feet to the fullest by fighting at farther ranges.

The one thing Floyd has that would make his fight RELATIVELY easy against Pacquiao would be his jab. Pacquiao was somewhat confused with Cotto's jab and movement until Cotto decided to go mano-a-mano.

Floyd would never go mano-a-mano with anyone. He could do the same thing over and over if he felt threatened enough and it was working.

Against Paul and Sergio, Floyd can't just lay back and jab. He'd have to work harder, which would be interesting to see.

Who knows? But Floyd ducking Pac makes the thread irrelevant.

  7. Pacquiao was timing and countering Cotto's jab by round 2. :nut And Cotto's jab is better than Floyd's.

Well, the difference in Pac's core is pretty noticeable now. Look at his abdominal muscles at 147, dude is ripped. At lower weights his ribs are showing and ****. You need fast feet to fight inside too broseph, without a blindingly fast step in Dempsey and Tyson and a lot of other explosive infighters wouldn't have been the same.

Floyd has lots of important punches against emmanuel. Everyone and their ***** already knows the right hand will be key. The jabs been mentioned, but no one has talked about the left hook to the body.

Marquez had emmanuel hurt and retreating to the ropes with that punch all night. Floyd threw the exact same **** with great effect on Zab Judah.

There's also the left uppercut that emmanuel has been a sucker for. Floyd will throw the left upper to block his opponent's vision then follow up with a right hand. He did it on Judah and Oscar. Marquez landed one of these on emmanuel during their fight.

Martinez and Williams are much bigger than Pacquiao and both throw about the same or more punches than Pacquiao. So yes it would be a harder fight.

There's rumors on pacland that he has to work his body out like mad since he's weak there.

No question, and it shows. Glass body?

Pac could have really benefited from learning how to elbow block a little better, would have made his fights against the cholo trio especial much easier.I would agree about dat upper, but pac's right hook has gotten really really good. PBF's decision to lead with that might not end well.

Floyd's jab was very accurate vs Mosley. When he fights southpaws he uses it more as a measuring tool and distraction. The left hooks and right hands start flying once he's done measuring.

Crax: I disagree, I think Cotto's decision to abandon the jab and go toe-to-toe was the key to his losing. Manny's hands are faster and comes in weird angles so Cotto couldn't see them coming. Cotto's corner was begging him to go back to the jab-move but Manny had no respect for him by then.
