U can bet ur balls Ash that it would be true! QLD officals are VERY shonky, just look at the incident with Ahmed Elomar vs Kickett , not one person was suspended over this incident, they allow thugs to run rampant at boxing shows and allow boxers to also join in on it! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3k03VW-3jg&feature=player_embedded[/ame] Elomar should have been suspended but nothing come of this! The officals wont bite the hands that feed them! Plain and simple guys! its been going on for a while now.
It's funny...Aswin Cabuy (you guys remember him?) apparently had Waters hurt early before losing a UD over 6 rounds from memory. I wasn't there so I can't be certain. And here we are - well some of us anyway, tipping Waters to KO Mundine. That's where Choc is at. The lunacy in all this is that some deranged posters had the hide to pick Mundine over Pavlik and Cotto. That should be an indictable offence.
I need to check out some recent waters fights to be sure of this one but you might be onto something, if he actually makes the real weight and its not catchweight then maby, just maby you are correct! got me thinking about throwing some coin on waters now but since mundane has his hand up the back of waters backside like a puppett id be very reluclant to do so, waters is also pretty small compared to choc. He will do the same sht he did to Medley imo and it will be catchweight.
Walk in the park meaning selection of fighter...the fight was close first 3 rounds....still havent seen the rest
looks like he will be his next opponent.says iit should be signed within a week.the source is the Telecrap though. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/boxing/ryan-gets-his-man/story-e6freygr-1225886876666 yippee.one hits like a girl the other just hits girls.atschwhat a joke.:-(

will be hard for choc fighting at 154 aganist watersand looking at ishida and also having to fight woods in December at 168, wood wont fight less ( Contender was a 168 competition so that what he will fight choc at ) can choc fight at such big weight differences or will Wood's fight go by the wayside
surely Ryan and choc should have worked something out before, we all know that 90% of this stuff at weigh ins press conferences and such are crap and done to raise publicity and sell tickets, but this was pretty poor wispering that he would push him
I like choc and will support him ( other then if he fights green again or briggs I know not likley) but I gotta tell you Golvkin then tis stage show certainly make it impossible to defend him, he is a mate however so will support him until he does something bad to mme
sorry bobby Not sure he allowed it I just said it so i guess if you are going to blame anyone that would be me and my choice of friends
Waters IS the next opponent now. Scene it somewhere that the winner of this fight (october some time) will be the WBA interim champ and in line to fight Cotto. Didnt want so start a new Cumdine thread so this was the closest one to the subject...
My guess is this....Ishida is the interim champ....Waters V Mundine is an eliminator to fight for the interim title....winner of that will face cotto May 2011. Or to put it another way Cotto doesnt want to fight the Jap as its a no money fight.....so he bought time with the WBA to make some money fights and not face his mandatory....but the flip side is the WBA gave him until May 2011 to fight a mandatory against the interim title holder(whoever that may be).
Plausible scenario Ash, but it's getting very close to last roll of the dice now, and the lead-in is far from ideal, in fact it couldn't be much more disjointed. If they proceed with Waters followed by Wood, and the weight roller-coaster it involves, they've plainly got rocks in their heads! Even if the Ishida thing comes off, and remember they'll try and screw him at the bargaining table, which may not excite his team, cannot imagine Cotto fighting here, and Mundine fighting in The States or Puerto Rico presents all sorts of challenges too.
Hmmm maybe right about this being an interim title fight....I just read it on another site and the SMH had the story :huh I dont see how Ishida will be removed from the interim spot unless its through inactivity...he has not fought in almost 7 months. And to answer your question they are mad if they take on wood at 168 then drop back down to 154
