    kid mccoy's pet punch. left to the chest and a twist of the wrist, tearing the flesh when it hit

    The effectiveness of such a moronic ploy is damning evidence of the lack of skill possessed by fighters of that era. I can't see an amateur of 5 fights experience falling for this crap today.

    At my first club i was taught the 'screw shot'. After a one-two, bend the knee and throw a twisting straight(palm facing upwards). It was my favourite punch. After leaving that club for another i was practising it on the bag and my trainer said, "cut that ****ing useless bollox out" haha

    Exactly.

    Though I was taught to twist at the end of straight shots, just not dramatically so, and not all the time.
