I don't see why everyone sympathizes with Tua, by all accounts he was very lucky to get the win last night. Maybe we should see a rematch, although I wish Barrett would just retire. The man is a warrior but should think about his health
Seeing as how Barrett's current condition has cause three straight losses, then he does *this well* against Tua........I agree, Tua has nothing left. And against the top level heavies, Tua gets embarrassed, Lewis-style. Tua should either seek retirement, now, or fight one more bum and go out on a win.
Barrett said before the fight it was his last one, win lose or draw. Then after the fight said his disatisfaction with the judging helps him believe in that even stronger. I think Monte will call it a day, and rightfully so. He's had a rollercoaster career and some genuine highlights.

I agree. Tua was knocked down by Barrett, and didn't even knock down Barrett once. This is the same Barrett, that when he was a much better fighter, was knocked down 5 times by Wladimir. The same Barrett, that in similar condition as last night, was KO'd by Valuev, Cliff Couser, Haye, & Solis.
Don't bother. He will take a year off only to return and claim the division is wide open for the taking then struggle against a can and leave for another year. That's basically what he has been doing lately. So retire or not, there's no difference.

Why is it that we're always hearing what David Haye would or could do? Last I heard he was sitting on his ass in Cyprus...going on 4 months without an opponent. Heck, without a scheduled bout.
Right. It's very simple. People vamp up excuse after excuse to explain the behavior and choices of their favorite fighters. But the truth is that professional fighters know exactly how good they are. They spar everyday and they know what they can do. The reason they don't take fight is seldom because they are afraid, it's because they know they would lose. Tua hasn't been biding his time, he just knows he no longer an elite fighter.
