So, the only true boxing fans are the ones who are willing to let themselves get **** on by fighters and promoters who seem to care little about actually pleasing the people who pay their salaries?

So the one time a fan is displeased you just walk away from the sport? Is that a fan that boxing needs? Iv been a boxing fan since i was a kid growing up on Tyson. I watch boxing because im a fan of the sport. Politics aside thats what "FANS" do.

Boxing is in bad shape right now. There are so many interesting match ups to be made - yet - none of them are being made.

Unfortunately this isn't a one time thing. The politics in boxing have made it reoccurring. I've been a fan about as long as you and amidst all the bull**** I've always kept coming back because good fights do eventually happen.
But I'm really losing patience with this Floyd/Pac thing.
I'll never abandon boxing entirely, but it's not giving me a lot of reasons to stay interested.
Plus with MMA being as popular as is it, I can get my fix there if boxing doesn't get it's **** together.

i've also been a boxing fan since the early 80's watching, Hearns,Hagler,Duran and Ray leonard and then Tyson right after. It's to easy in boxing to cherrypick opponents because there is no real governing body, Arum get's all his guys to fight each other while Haye will find a reason or price him self out a fight. At least in MMA it's harder to avoid fights or cherrypick.

The alphabet soup are all a joke and controlled by the promoters who grease the pockets of the different orgs. I just seen Audley Harrison just jumped up the rankings.....hmmm just high enough to get a title shot with
    Haye perhaps?

That's one thing about the UFC and heopefully Strikeforce. Do you think Lesnars manager is going to tell Dana that he won't fight Carwin but will fight Ken Shamrock instead.

mma does not put the big fights together! dana is full of **** as usual :tired

    did fedor vs colture happen?
    did fedor vs lesnar happen?
has anderson silva vs vitor fought?
did kid yamma vs faber fight yet?

I could easily fill pages:deal But the one thing about mma dream matches is that one (or both) of the fighters losses and the hype evaporates.

So the solution is that fighters give away all their rights and 90% of the revenue to a scumbag promoter and his two Italian mobster partners?

The sport itself is doing fine. The business side of it sucks.

UFC has it both right now. Business is good and the sport is on the rise in the US.

Why does he keep saying all this **** about PPVs? HBO and showtime regularly show fights, and ESPN has friday night fights. With fighters like Zab Judah and David Lemeuix.

I agree with everything scularrantings has stated, now you can tell he is actually a real boxing fan. Dana White always utters stupid remarks, just to get attention. There is no way in hell Boxing is going away.
