Amir Khan: "I'll Fight Tim Bradley Next"

This makes sense. Roach wants Kahn to fight Bradley so he can see what Bradley is capable of. If Bradley gets UD over Kahn then Pacquiao will challenge Bradley, because Roach will have had one of his fighters in the ring with Bradley to help as a scout.

To put it simply, this is going to be a sparring session for Bradley, Bradley will get an easy UD, Roach won't risk putting his star fighter Pacquiao into a dangerous fight with an unknown risk, and after Bradley vs Kahn then it's a known risk and Roach will have a strategy to beat him.

Good move by Roach. If I were Bradley I would go after Berto. If Berto declines then I would go after Kahn. I don't think Pacquiao is going to take on Bradley anytime soon, and I think all of us deep down can sense that. I think the best fight for the fans is Bradley vs Berto. I think people would pay to see this fight and they could make it a PPV fight with 24/7 and everything.

Bradley vs Alexander would be an HBO fight which wouldn't make either of them a great deal of money but it would make HBO a great deal of money because a lot of people would watch it. Honestly Bradley vs Berto is the biggest fight for Bradley and the most dangerous. Each fighter is at the same place in their career, each fighter is even physically speaking, Berto has quicker hands but not a very good chin, Bradley has more technical skill and a great chin, and it would be an all out brawl because neither have ever lost a fight and both have been on HBO numerous times.

It's win win for each fighter. Bradley if he wins or loses could get a rematch and that would be a megafight. Berto could get a rematch if he loses and that would be a megafight. If one dominates the other then they'd legitimately be able to call out Floyd or Pacquiao.

 

Bradley bothers me by leaving himself out there after he punches... he will eventually have a rough one against a quick fighter to capitalize on his mistakes.. or a really good counterpuncher.

He's got medium pop though... enough to rock khan if he can get close enough to hit that chin.

Bradley would be competitive with either of them. I don't think Kahn would be competitive against Bradley. Kahn is about as good as Peterson was and we see what happened to him. Kahn hasn't beaten anybody so I'm not convinced hes even a legit champion at his weight class, he seems to be a very protected fighter. If he fights Bradley right now he will lose, but maybe hes supposed to lose?

 

Great fight for both men. Great tests for each as well which will answer a lot of questions about both. If I had to pick someone to win I'd go with Khan....he's a bit faster and longer. Of course with Khan's chin Tim could catch him at some point but i think Khan is more talented with a style that favors him. I'd got with Khan by UD.

 

Kahn is definitely being underrated here.

AK is slowly making a believer out of me but I am pretty convinced he beats Bradley!

 

Bradley has some technical flaws. He's not going to fight Pacquiao right now but he definitely could fight Berto and I think it would be a PPV fight. Everybody knows who they are because they've been on HBO a lot. Right now they could get 300,000-400,000 PPV buys, which is good enough to justify the fight.

Amir Kahn, nobody knows who he is outside of eastside boxing, and he still fights like an amateur. Devon Alexander is slightly more known but he's not going to be a big money fight. Bradley only has Berto or Pacquiao and it looks like hes going to get Berto.

Khan actually is a tad bit more proven than Tim at this point. Not by much b/c both are still pretty early on in their prize fighting careers. But to say Kahn is about as good as Lamont peterson is indicating you don't know what you are talking about....that's like saying Tim is on level with Manny.

 

Look at Tim's resume, hes beaten undefeated fighters or top fighters since Junior Witter. Who has Kahn been fighting and what are their records? Kahn hasn't impressed me, and hes been knocked out before.

I'm not saying Tim is on level with Manny. I'm saying Tim is on level with guys like Berto, Cotto, Margarito in terms of ability and accomplishment. I think Cotto and Margarito make more money but they aren't more skilled or more accomplished. You can debate that Cotto has done more because he has more belts, but he took the belts from weak fighters.

As of right now Manny would beat Bradley. Mayweather would beat Bradley. Bradley would beat Berto and Margarito.

Lemont Peterson is 29-1, he has only lost to Bradley and lost on a UD. Lemont was very competitive through the entire bout. Kahn would have a difficult time beating Lemont Peterson and may not even be able to beat a guy like that. Then you have Kendall Holt, would Kahn beat him?

Kahn hasn't beaten ANYBODY worth mentioning besides Barerra who is an old fighter.


Compare their resumes and tell me who has beaten the tougher competition.

Khan isn't on the same level as Devon or Tim, he would get easily outclassed and probably tko'd around the 10.
