tua just lacked something to get onto the top of the mountain when he was in his prime, this version of tua doesnt stand a chance against the brothers or haye

Yet for all the stick Tua's getting for this fight, most of it rightfully so, if he had a calmer head in the 12th he gets the points win.

No stupid shoving Monte to the floor out of frustration, no running headlong into shots trying for the knockout. A 10-2, 8-4, 8-4 win.

There'd be grumbles about him not knocking Monte out and looking vulnerable, but people have been saying that about things like the Salif and Hawkins fights for instance.

The Tua coming back as a contender myth has been exposed by the man beaten by Ustinov and destroyed by Solis in his last 2 fights

So true if he had won this I can guarantee he would be very close to a title shot. But he is lucky the division is so lacking in contenders right now. It's so bad that I wouldn't rule him out from getting a title shot if he can get a couple of wins in a row then he he will probably himself back at the top of the pile.

Tua getting knocked down is a bit of a worry. When age starts to get to you then you need to fall back on intelligence and skills. I don't think either of those are ever what made David Tua.

Good fight, thanks for posting, but what a ripoff! Even if it wasn't for the point deduction and knockdown I thought Barrett just about edged it.

I always get suspicious when it takes a long time to get the scores in. I know it was a close fight, but that doesn't make adding numbers up any harder.

The Colonel gave it away, When he kept saying best Tua can hope for is a draw. What pisses me off is fact not one Judge felt Monte won the fight. And as for the ***** who gave 115-111 Tua that's beyond **** taking.
