"I'm not really thinking about boxing right now," Mayweather said. "I'm just relaxing. I fought about 60 days ago, so I'm just enjoying myself, enjoying life, enjoying my family and enjoying my vacation."
so next year? I'm not surprised he gave the media a response they didn't want to hear. They were calling him a coward for days.
yeah, i read this on the scene. wtf? dude floyd you're not getting younger, take this fight while you still have the physical advantages
Floyd didn't indicate any problems with the proposal (contract). "I'm not interested in rushing to do anything." DUCK
That's it? That's all his publicist could come up with when the world is calling him a coward? Does the shoe fit?
the latest excuse is that he needs to release another **** album YEP YEP what a ducker steroids, splits, albums rest vacation whatever it is , he dont wanna fight Pac
I'm actually starting to believe the drug testing was all a ploy to avoid Pacquiao. Floyd "MONEY" Mayweather would rather relax, than make more MONEY than he's ever made in a single fight. Interesting.
he wants pac to retire and then call him out. :-( And that " I fought 60 days ago " crap is ****in lame. He wanted to fight pac after pac just came off a tough fight against cotto in less than 4 months.
The cats out of the bag now. All of these nuthuggers saying the contract was one-sided are out of excuses. Floyds ducking this fight. He needs a vacation? He just had two easy fights after a two year retirement. Now he needs another 1-2 years off? There's no way you can defend this guy now.
I really don't think Mayweather cares if anyone is calling him a coward. That could actually end up working in his favor. One of the reasons he doesn't get the credit that he feels he deserves is because everyone always expects him to win. Imagine if everyone spends months calling him a coward and saying he's afraid of Pacquiao. If the fight then happens, less people will be expecting him to win. If he does win, he'll get more praise then he normally would as all his critics will have no choice sing his praises as he would've just beaten someone that they said he was terrified of fighting.
That's one of the biggest reaches I've ever seen here. And that's saying something. Mayweather basically just said he flat out doesn't want the biggest fight boxing's seen in decades. I really don't expect that to change next year.
So if Pac faces and defeats Mayweather in May of 2011, will the year layoff diminish the victory? Will Mayweather need yet another tuneup after the layoff before fighting Pac?
