I'm not reaching. I'm not saying that's the reason Mayweather said no, I'm saying that could be the end result of him delaying the fight. Mayweather is his own man. He'll do things on his own time. The fact of the matter is though, the way Arum has played this, Mayweather looks bad right now. However, if people spend months bad mouthing the guy and calling him a coward, then they'll have no choice but give him his props if he does eventually fight and beat Pacquiao. Again, I'm not saying that's the reason he let that deadline pass, but that's what could end up happening.
Let him retire then, who cares? There a plenty of guys ready to come in and take his spot. He's slowing down anyway, lord knows another year off won't help him.
If people were consistent it would considering Mayweather would be the same age and would be coming off the same length of inactivty as Hoya when he fought Mayweather. I doubt that would happen though. Mayweather is one of the best, if not the best, fighters out there. Long layoff or not, that would be a great win for Pacquiao.
Mayweather would've gotten his props either way. Fighting and defeating Pacquiao would have been his greatest accomplishment, by far.
Yeah, he'll be what, 34? Pac will have been more active and younger still(obviously) so it doesn't make it what it could be in Nov, but it's not bad.
**** Mayweather. I have defended him in the past on here but this is one of the biggest ****ish moves I have ever seen in boxing. Blatant ducking here from Floyd. **** him. And **** Pacquaio fighting Cotto again, he gave him a hiding in the first so there is **** all need for a second.
Agreed. Hopefully, Pacquiao realizes his chance to one-up Mayweather here, and fights Berto. That would be a big draw and would enhance Pac's bargaining power. I in no way, shape or form, want to see Pacquiao fight Margarito or Cotto. He might as well just annihilate Bradley or retire.
:rofl:rofl:rofl Where are the *****s saying the no-day cutoff was the reason why Mayweather doesnt want to agree with a fight with Pac. :rofl:rofl:rofl
Pacs gonna fight regardless, and cotto is the next big name out there, what does it matter who he eventually fights, at least Pac actually gets in the ring and fights and tries to KO whoever it is
Stop defending this guy. He's giving a big "**** you" to the fans. The time for this fight is now. How many "tune ups" does this ****er need? He doesn't want Pacquiao, it's obvious. The drug testing **** was a scam. He's just trying to wait Pacquiao out. There's a chance Pac could lose or look faded, and that's why he's not going to "rush the fight."
My feeling is that this fight will get signed soon...... .....Mayweather just is'nt going to let it be with Arum setting deadlines and dictating how things should proceed.
