PPV numbers are generated by 2 people.... not 1.

Stop giving floyd credit for other people's work and promotion.

Seriously man? When has ODLH ever done more than 1.4 million buys with ANY opponent not named Floyd? Give the guy his due. He knows how to market himself.

Okay, then why was pac's fight with Hatton not as big as the Mayweather/Hatton fight? He already had Oscar's fame rubbed off on him.

If you guys only buy his fights to see him lose, but you know he's cherry picking a bunch of older and smaller fighters there's something wrong with you. It defeats the purpose to follow a guy hoping he loses when he only fights people you believe have no chance against him.

It was almost as big, and hatton was 'damaged goods' in a lot of people's eyes.

Floyd has a hype machine behind every fight and a family of ******s who make avg americans want to see him knocked out and shut up.

    Timing.

If there's one thing I do give credit for is his cherry-picking abilities.

DLH-Over the hill but still the biggest draw in boxing. Obvious

Hatton-huge following(bigger than FLoyds) and an undefeated record. Floyd gets all the credit for the PPVs.

JMM-His name was at an all-time high due to his performance against Pac and two great victories over Diaz and Casa. Floyd gets all the credit for the PPVs.

Mosley-His name was at an all time high due to his victory over Margarito(because Margarito had defeated Cotto). Floyd gets all the credit for the PPVs.

    See a pattern there.:deal

it has to be a combination of serious fans and those who want to see him lose. as long as enough interest is generated (possibility of floyd losing) more casual fans (throw in some haters) will watch, ergo it sells more. but if you have a fight where floyd is the heavy favorite, generally only the diehard fans will watch. i respect floyd's style but some people don't appreciate it so they wouldn't bother watching if it there is no competitive atmosphere/uncertainty surrounding the fight.

Yes, I would pay for any of Floyd's fights, which are PPV WORTHY. A comeback fight with Saul Alvarez, ain't gonna cut it either.

The same goes for Pac. I'll pass on the next Flop Rank sham, and watch the replay. ODLH (not in hindsight), Hatton, Cotto were worth my money. I just felt duped after paying for the Clottey fight. Never again....

Put these elites in with each other. Or, at the least...put them in against worthy opposition. Until then...I'll keep my money.

And the average american ignores logic knowing he's fighting people who don't stand a chance against him. You guys are getting pimped for your $50 twice a year.

At least you tried. All those people generated their highest PPV sales with him though.:think

I don't get pimped for any money.

I paid to see mosley vs floyd.

I didn't order his fights with baldomir or hatton.

I paid to see him beat oscar though, I wanted that ****.

How can it be vice versa when Floyd only got his biggest payday once?

Talking about PPV numbers is gay.

    Absolutely gay.

I get so sick of getting sucked into that stupid argument that has nothing to do with any of us.

You're making this too hard on yourself!

Most of you *****s want Floyd to get at least half the credit for the PPV success of DLH/PBF but refuse to give credit to his well-chosen opponents
for his other big fights....................you can't have it both ways!:deal

I really don't care about where all the credit goes. I find it amusing that people buy to see him lose, then he goes "cherry picking" as you call it and ends up doing impressive sales.

Of course. Who the **** wouldn't? Watching Money in the ring is a thing of beauty and any idiot who says they won't is a goddamn liar, idiot or even worse, a PEDtard. Ya'll should be thanking Money that he is still interested in the sport considering he has been boxing for a large majority of his life. Don't hate, appreciate...
