Oscar looked better against B-Hops then Tito did before getting KOed if you ask me...he just happend to get stopped sooner. And your right, Tito did beat Oscar on paper, but everyone knows who really won that fight...anyone not a biased boricua in denial that is. But back to the topic, i would say he is an ATG.
newbies.. they get a computer a keyboard and then come to forums like this to talk about things they dont know anything about... if you really need to ask if tito is an ATG fighter then you're clueless or just a hater :hat
What would qualify him as an ATG? Loosely defined or specifically, like top ten welterweight? The WW division is extremely rich in history. You've got not only guys like Leonard, Hearns, Duran and Benitez but that's just one era. Then you've got Homicide Hank, Ray Robinson, Kid Gavilan, Napoles, then there's Basilio, oh and Ross and McLarnin and Rodriguez...and Britton...and Walcott and Walker and...Long list, man. Long, long list.
i'd say he is AN atg, hard nailing down a specific weight tho. see he was very good at what he did, but also very limited, oscar gave him loads of trouble, hopkins and wright made him look like an amateur. but still to say he only ever lost to hopkins, wright and rjj is pretty good. his best victory IMO was vargas, but looking at his achievments, number of defences, number of greats he beat. you would be foolish to say he werent ATG material. but as for a specific weight, it is all too easy to put him into the LMW category cos it doesnt have that many atg names in there.
The wraps thing was absolute bull****... but guys i'd rate above him at welter.. Robinson Leonard Napoles Hearns Gavilan Basilio Barney Ross So Trinidad may be fringe top 10... great fighter but it is an illustrious division
he wasnt? after DLH he had his best run as a professional boxer by beating reid, vargas, and joppy in inmpresive fashion :hat
