Wrong on both counts. Since you seem to think the opinion of experienced boxing journalists are so important, go ask them how they rate Pacquiao. Do most of them place him beneath Mosley and DLH? Who won fighter of the decade? It wasn't us internet people that voted, it was your boxing gurus that's giving Pac all thse awards like fighter of the year, fighter of the decade etc.

As for your scond point. Yeah your boy Floyd fights people at their proper weight like when he asked Marquez (a guy who had just moved to lightweight) to blow his ass up to 144 and then at the last minute said "ey man, we gotta problem. I can't make 144, let's just make it 147. I'll break you off a little paper. I spend more than that to make it rain in the clubs". At least when Pac asked Cotto to move down it was at a limit that was a POUND under what he weighed in against Clottey and he stuck to the agreed weight:rofl. Nuthugger.

Still, the way in which he went about it makes the win closer in terms of quality IMO. One of Mannys best for the way he went about it, but then, when you've beaten Barrera, and out-trumped Floyd in terms of 'titles won in different weigths' (which means **** all to me, but is often brought up as in indication of Floyds ATG standing) I can't see where the argument can be?

Morales was on the slide when Pacquiao beat him twice and Morales best years were at Feather, same goes for Marquez, he drew with Pacquiao at his best weight and the lost at his unfavoured weight.

Yeah I do think Gatti's best weight was Light Welter, he won a trilogy at that weight against Mickey Ward and won a title there and defended it 2 times.

I never said Marquez was at his favoured weight but all Marquez was, was a name for Mayweather

Yeah, how is 130lbs Marquez's 'unfavoured weight'? He's proven to be a force up to 135, and aesthetically, looked quality in both Pac fights, as I say I had him winning the 2nd.

 

I bet you a pound to a penny if Mayweather didnt have 18 months out of the ring and carried on fighting, he would have won that award for fighter of the decade.

I reckon, what put the vote in Manny's favour were the fight's he had while Mayweather was in retirement.

Before Mayweather retired, he was above Manny in every p4p list you could find.

I'd say all things considered mentally and physically his best weight was 130..... even though he was arguably slipping a bit when me moved up.

At 135 he isn't quite the same as before, but seems to be punching harder and makes adjustments faster - either that or he's fought opponents that have made it easier to adjust :think

Judah's best weight was LWW and he'd already been beaten by Kostya, Spinks and Baldomir. Baldomir had lost to almost every top guy he'd faced except Judah. Oscar had looked a shell of himself at MW and was on the slide that he was eating full blooded shots from Mayorga. Hatton had looked **** since beating Kostya and had looked even worse at WW where Floyd naturally faced him. Marquez had been life and death with Juan Diaz for six rounds before clubbing him, then stepped up 12lbs to face Floyd.

Anyone can pull a resume apart. In reality, the Judah, Oscar and Hatton wins are meaningful for Floyd. But the equivalent Barrera, Morales and Marquez fights for Pac are better wins.

 

The Castillo wins are better than the Morales wins IMO, everyone knows Morales was on the slide when Pacquiao beat him twice, he had been beaten by Zahir Raheem ffs before the Pacquiao losses.
