According to El Nuevo Dia, a newspaper based in Puerto Rico, Top Rank is interested in having WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez make a defense on the date of December 4 at Cowboys Stadium, which is the tentative date and location for the recently discussed middleweight bout between Kelly Pavlik and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
In the report it was written,that if lopez beatS MARQUEZ the rumored opponent for December would be WBA featherweight champion Chris JOHN. The adviser of john Sampson LEWKOWICZ is also the adviser of Lopez biggest rival Celestino Caballero..Lewkowicz is wiiling to explore the fight,but only after Lopez accepts the challenge of CABALLERO.

 

Wins against Luevano, Conception, Marquez and John/Cabellero makes Juanma a certainty for fighter of the year in my opinion if May-Pac doesent happen.

I am a huge fan of Juanma. I just want him to fight the best at this point. He is 27 and has been a world champion for two years already, it's time.

 

I bet Chris John is going to be pissed at his advisor. Why don't his advisor put his 2 fighters together in John vs Caballero? And the winner fight Lopez?

Im confused :huh , Chris John is a GB fighter , it doesnt mean a monkeys ass who the advisors are , if GB and TR cant make a deal (really ) then its not gonna happen .

Depends who's ranking , Juanma has been in the spot light and has been more active than John , but real rankings should have him at #1 IMO , i mean id certainly place him at #1 !!!!
