last time this fight was negotiated and it fell through, both sides were mouthing eachother off

now this time it fell through... arum said dont blame floyd, and everyone involved in the negotiations have basicaly stayed quiet

floyd has said hes not intrested in fighting, and mannys just being manny

there dosnt seem to be any bad blood as a result of these failed negotiations which is surprising considering the amount of $$ to be made.

It makes me wonder if this whole thing is just set up

Negotiations are finished now & Arum, Koncz ETC are all talking about it in public but they're being very respectful of what Floyd chose to do which I think is what the TS is referring to

Because Arum is happy Floyd ducked Pac, it doesnt make him & pac look bad so he can milk Pac one more time with Margo/Cotto and in the meantime, he is being respectful to Floyd to not kill his final cashout plan for Pac to fight Floyd next year.

    Its simple really.

    void is void.

They planned it to be behind doors hoping this time things will go better without Pacquiao's people spreading false rumors that could ruin it. Obviously it looks like Mayweather is not interested in it at the moment.

    ....maybe

i just doubt a fight like this would have only revolved around 1 set of negotiations like any other fight

its too big to be just like anyother fight

No. Arum is not upset the fight is not happening, it gives him the opportunity to cash in on pac one more time. Arum would rather the fight happen next year, to cash out with Pac. SO why would Arum slaughter void, he's happy with his decision and he's being nice to not kill the fight for next year. Next year, watch Arum really put the pressure on to make this fight happen.

In fact, if Pac was to turn around and say, 1 more fight, definitely 1 last fight, Arum would make the fight in a heartbeat, easy.

Arum knows Pac could loose to void, so wants to avoid that risk until pac's last fight if he can. void on the other just wants no part of pac. Whether it be drugs, purse, vacations whatever.

Mayweather showing little interest (for the time being) gives Arum a chance to stage another Top Rank fight (Pac vs Cotto/Marg); hence the reason why he's being so considerate for Floyd and the situation with his Uncle.

Arum will be very happy if a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight takes place next year instead

And I never said you said Arum was upset?

I was saying that Arum is not upset about the situation, in fact he is happy about the situation. If he was upset you can believe he would have taken the opportunity to hurl abuse at Floyd during conference. If anything he's thankful for Floyds cowardice.
