ummm, dempsey kills him. then beats the **** out of young's family for good measure seriously, i think young frustrates him for a few rounds while taking BRUTAL punishment anytime jack gets close. both cheeks busted, nose pouring blood, he's knocked out in the fifth
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXJ81hU_ygQ[/ame] Dempsey would most likely land and when he does, Young might take it, but dempsey would most likely do what Cooney and Foreman couldn't-Finish Young with his speed and agression. I think Dempsey 8th round knockout. I think he might last a while given Young was very hard to catch and was quite durable himself. Young might actually do well in the early goings, I just think Dempsey was in a different class then Young and would probably catch him at some point.
smaller-yes weaker-yes less skilled-no foreman was ****ed up and not ready to fight at that time. a prime foreman likely beats the hell out of young
1)high as **** at the moment but leave that out of this 2)i understand and from footage he was reckless, wild and his record on paper is relatively weak. he avoided the best black contenders 3)from footage of the willard and firpo fights he was a whirlwind dynamo and from accounts of the time, he was a wonderfully quick accurate puncher who mauled his opponents and had a deceptive defense yes, young was black and dempsey has that mark against him but jimmy young is best known for hiding between the ropes from a shot ali, beating a foreman who was not in the fight at all, and getting brutalized past prime by cooney. not hitching by cart to him against an ATG
well cause we disagree on one or two key points. i feel dempsey was faster, hit harder and was more tenacious. he demolished bigger fighters in his time (fred fulton) and young was certainly not bigger than many of them. he was feather fisted and had NOTHING to keep dempsey off him. maybe young could outbox him, more likely i see dempsey swarming him, pounding him and eventually finishing him when jack realizes young holds no danger to him
1)fulton and willard had decent skills for the time, but you're right, young was much slicker and skilled. c'mon though, young like you said was facing a **** foreman 2)tunney wasn't a huge puncher BUT that was a badly faded dempsey after 3 years of getting fat and old 3)your mom lied to you, sorry dude:hat
1)we may be brothers 2)the best fighter on tunney's resume is harry greb BUT i agree, the dempsey wins are overrated. dempsey by that point was not the same fighter of old and even in his prime, made for tunney 3)i think we feel the same way. I've never seen the norton fight but ali was shot to **** and foreman was a fluke. to get the foreman win though is impressive, but it's the only REALLY impressive thing on his resume
Young is best known for sticking his head out the ropes from ali? Beating a not there Foreman? Getting brutalized by Cooney? You're kidding right? I think he's best known for being the slickest spoiler around, beating ali, Norton, Shavers, Lyle, I don't care what the judges said. Hey, even if you agree with the scoring, you have to know he was their equal, aquitted himself well with the best of them. Cooney couldn't even hurt a blind, past it Young. Young had pop in his punches, wasn't a guy that went for the kill though, but could get respect when needed, otherwise guys like Lyle, norten, etc would have walked right through him. By round five, Dempsey would be so dizzy and befuddled, he'd through up his lunch in the ring.
