Briggs over the limit

when i first read it i thought he had gone over the cruiser limit and i thought "**** me" ..his head is not in it.

now i think its a bit of gamesmanship.

his true feelings have come out..with Briggsy saying Green has fought nobodies since coming out of retirement

and also this may be briggsy having a swipe at Danny Green
"Cruiserweight World Champion "..having never fought at Cruiserweight or a cruiserweight.

You must wonder how Briggsy feels about he not being able to be called "World Champion" ( in boxing) ..but the likes of Billy Dib, Shannan Taylor and Les Sherrington can!!! Im sure that grind his gears a little.

And the fact that Briggsy fought everyone they put in front of him. Drews,Adamek,Castro,Ruiz,- 3 World Title Eliminators. He wasnt handed a micky-mouse title.

Briggsy is a personal trainer so he is generally fit...and he did say that he has no need for lead up fights ...just a training camp to sharpen up.

I would love to see Briggs win, he deserves to call himself a World Champion.

 

If hes fit enough to go 10 chasing Pete round he may have 6 against Green :think

We're all trying to give Briggsy every benefit of the doubt going into this - but when you look at the cold hard facts....

I've got an ugly feeling Briggs, unable to nail Green early, will go into the old Ali rope-a-dope, thinking he's working towards a 2nd wind that just won't be there. Eventually, like Foreman, he won't be able to keep his hands up any longer, and bingo, lights out!

Like most others, I hope I'm very wrong.

 

If he hasn't won in 6 then he aint winning so who cares what happens after that

 

Im a big fan of Dannys,but in this fight i hope Briggsy can win it,
1, cause if anyone deserves to be called a champ its Briggsy.
2,bull**** agreed weight clauses,if you wanna call yourself a crtuiserweight champ,then at least fight atf the weight.

Briggs has done nothing wrong, what crap, for the cruiser title but not at the cw limit, what a load of crap, I don't mind who wins but I want to see green dig deep and be dragged to the trenches.

Agree whole heartedly with all of the above. Poor form on danny's behalf banging on with all of that "punishment" crap. You're supposedly a world champion so just shut up and fight a cruiser weight.

This 84kg catchweight for a 90.7kg cruiserweight 'world title' is absolutely ridiculous. I don't even reckon Danny's own fans agree with this charade.
