Not blaming you Ash - plainly it's not your fault.

The direction team Mundine continue to head in completely legitimises the long-term critisism of them though.

These guys have just played the Australian boxing public for fools, and made a fortune in the process!

Waters targets Cotto - Plotting next move after Mundine

By Ray Wheatley (World of Boxing 19th July 2010)

WBA #7, WBO #5 154 pounder Ryan Waters (20-2-2, 12 KOs) is looking to upset WBA #2 Anthony Mundine (39-3, 22 KOs) when they clash in

    in NSW, Australia.

Waters would then set his sights on the WBA champion Miguel Cotto for the title. Waters trainer and manager David Birchell is excited that Waters will get an opportunity to defeat Mundine.

“That would be special,” Birchell said. ”This fight could lead to very big things for Ryan, including a world title shot with Miguel Cotto. We’re really looking forward to it. Ryan is training well, don’t worry, we’ll have the game plan and Anthony knows Ryan well enough from sparring against him that he’ll turn up to fight.”

*Good work Ray but can't help laughing at the last line. When are people going to wake up, and stop believing this charade?

    another joke fight.

mundine is a dog. how dare he even speak bradmans name. he shouldnt even be allowed to say the name 'tony' (mundine) as at least the **** had a go, and was far and away a better fighter than anthony, and will be remembered as such.

Hi Ryan, great to see you talking yourself up on the forum. How do you feel after becoming a part of the Mundine circus ?

    Fair call Ash.

In all seriousness, it's impossible to knock your loyalty. It's just a pity they don't return it to their supporters with honesty in what they say and do.

The thing that surprised me in what you wrote above is 'they said Brewer is too old and everybody will bag them for fighting him'.

...with their recent opponent choices I'm surprised they give a rats arse about what the public think. It really staggered me to read they even considered it as a factor.
