He hits him with a half decent shot and it's over. Couture's punch resistance went a long time ago.

Yeah isnt BJ Penn in the main event?

I swear I saw an interview where Freddy Roach said BJ Penn could have boxed to a high standard!

    Yeah, its the Penn-Edgar rematch.

There are also three Brits on the card (Winner, Etim and Osipczak).

Exactly this. Shame. It will be hyped as some kind of moral victory for MMA, which it isn't, if anything, watching Ray Mercer lose to Kimbo Slice can nver be topped for gut-wrenching sadness

James Toney would most probably beat any MMA Heavy in a stand-up only fight, even the man in my avi :deal But as soon as he starts getting kicked in the legs or taken down we will see the end come within a matter of seconds IMO.

Randy is old and likes a scrap, but he's also not stupid. He will stop Toney in the 1st IMO, though i'm praying I'll be proven wrong.

Well, that's me told! I do confess that I know very little about MMA.

No worries mate, wasn't a knock! It's nice to see someone on a forum not pretend to know everything about everything ;)

Both he and Andre Winner were in the TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) United States v United Kingdom TV series. Neither of them was one of the winners, but Winner did get to the final (if that makes sense).

Doesn't ring a bell LP. I only really remember one ginger, and he was on the American team. Was he on one of the other TUF series?

Toney wrestled in high school, so I wouldn't be so sure.

I wish he would pack this mma nonsense in.I still think in a few years MMA will be a forgotten sport. It seems a load of hype for very little skilled fighting.Ive tried to watch it and its shite.Toney is a boxer and a very good one,he should stick to that or just retire. It will be shameful if he loses to one of these clowns.
