Let's assume that Jacobs gets past Pirog on the 31st, and let's assume that Pavlik can still make 160 with the help of a sports nutritionist, what fights would you like to see here.

I'd like to see Martinez/Williams II of course, and that is the only fight HBO wants from these two. They are looking at an October 2nd date.

The Jacobs/Pirog fight is for the now vacant WBO title. If Jacobs wins, and I think he will, let him and Pavlik square off in December.

After that the two winners (Williams and Pavlik) can stage a unification fight next spring.

To hell with Chavez and Angulo. In my opinion fights with those guys are just silly, and PDub isn't getting a big fight at 147. A scenario like the above could produce some real fireworks.

Yes he is, but we do not know if he will step up his level of competition now that he is free of Universum. The best case scenario would be a Sturm/Sylvester unification, and than throw the winner in the mix with the 4 fighters mentioned above.

You can't just throw Angulo out of the mix like that, he is a geniune contender and would give Jacobs hell anyday of the week

    Jacob's is relatively unproven.

Martinez is fast and elusive as hell - all wrong for Angulo

Williams is difficult for anyone, he has his off days though e.g. the Quintana fight

Angulo has a few catchweight fights above 154, but he has never fought a legit middleweight. He might give Jacobs a run for his money, and he could probably beat Sylvester. Everyone else mentioned on this thread would either box his ears off, or pound him into the canvass. He's just not ready to fight a top guy at 160.

I would like to see pav vs martinez rematch or pav vs williams then martinez vs williams.

williams vs jacobs would be interesting. neither are big hitters but it would be back and fourth. Im interested in what Jacobs is capable of last time I saw him was against Ishe smith he dint look great but showed his resolve (Fernando Guerrero looked good only in spots I dont think he really deserved the win against Ishe)

by the way Ishe is a tough fighter, he wont be put away no matter what, and that relentless body attack of his was fun to watch.

Jacobs is not championship quality by a long shot. If Pavlik is going to continue (at any weight) he Needs a real, world class trainer. He is in a major rut.
