I have never and will never buy a statement like this. Roy Jones is American and got **** on by certain critics his whole career despite beating way better opposition than Joe. I don't hate Joe I actually like him, but I am getting sick of this crazy statement. He is what he is a very good fighter with a good career.. Who is to say he would not have a few losses had he been American? He would have fought a much different list of fighters most likely. Probably Jones and Hopkins sooner, those are fights I don't think he would have won.

People can say the same thing about Joe. Disagree all you want, but the fact is, great fighters in America have harsh critics, such as Jones, Mayweather, Toney, Hopkins... You think if Joe was magically American with his same resume, they wouldn't have **** to talk about him? Roy has a much better resume, didn't stop certain critics and opinions from dogging him at every turn. Joe would have been no different.
On the other hand Kelly Pavlik an absolute novice and #### hot and talk of America....for doing #### all. And only now has been shown out to be a complete joke.

Uhh... If I remember correctly Pavlik knocked out a prime fighter to gain the lineal middleweight championship. I was unaware that qualifies as **** all.:huh
Yeah, Roy got certain awards because he was a truly great fighter... But he had much criticism.. Hence the song, "Yall must of forgot" Calzaghe in America would have been like Roy but without the awards, unless he stepped up and beat a prime great fighter, which Roy had to do to gain his status.

The rematch was scored right but guess what? It was scored closer than the first fight. Which shows you all you need to know. Castillo was robbed, even as Champ. Look it up.
Nah, he is fine... You need it, you call Pavlik knocking out a prime undefeated lineal MW champ "**** all" the same lineal champ that holds victories over B.Hop, that Calzaghe had a close fight with years later in one of his best career victories. What does that say about Joe? If Pavlik is this American hype job nobody, then why do Calzaghe fans justify Joe's victory over B.Hop because B.Hop dominated Pavlik?
