Kind of surprising considering they seemed to have a great relationship.

It would be hilarious if he did wind up signing with GBP.

seriously, who has ambitions to win the European title especially after being a world champion?

Surprised by that really. Paulie asks for fights and Lou usually gives him them. Must be really doing the Italian route for a while might join up with a promoter over there. I doubt he will join GBP or Arum he has been talking up this European jump a lot since the Khan loss.

Good luck to him what ever he does always been a fan.

I like that decision alot more than the guys who are delusional and keep thinking an undisputed title's around the corner and that fighting the best is a brilliant idea. Paulie still loves to fight but is being honest with himself about his level now so he doesn't take unnecessary beatings. I respect that.

Plus, there's a whole lot worse he could do than getting to hang out in Italy and make decent money doing it.

There is a precedent...with his abandonment of Jermain Taylor, under the auspice of altruistic concern. :think
