Juan Manuel Marquez: “We knew going into the Mayweather fight that it was going to be very difficult. What made it difficult was the excess weight Mayweather had – an extra 15 pounds. We gave it our all the entire time and just came up short.”

Fight had a contract weight of 144. Floyd came in at 146 during the weigh-in. Marquez came in at 142 during the weigh-in.

This was not much of a surprise? Thought he was at least 10lb over..
Floyd should go for Martinez next if he doesn't want PAC.
Got a feeling he won't though.

Any Mayweather would beat any Marquez easily. 130 Floyd stops him.

Did Marquez have a magical scale with him during the introductions? Any # thrown out there is a guess.

Now way in hell Floyd was a middleweight for that fight, I say he was at most 154.

The Ring magazine said Floyd was 152 on fightnight, and Marquez was 144, so Floyd had 8lbs on him - which is a MASSIVE advantage considering Marquez was overweight, bloated and sluggish after bulking up to that weight.

Dunno about the rest of you though, but I think PBF looks noticeably bigger since his return. Look at say the Baldomir fight, then look at the Mosley fight. Is it just me, or does PBF look stockier, more muscular, and all-round more physically imposing now? I think he worked on his strength a lot during his hiatus.
