I also wonder what Paulie's problem was in the clip.

  2. That drag queen can't fight his way out of a wet paper bag, Dibella's probaly sipping champagne now that he's done with this clown..

It was after Oscar Diaz's fight with Al "Speedy" Gonzalez on Shobox in like 2005 or 2006. There had been some talks of a fight between Paulie and Speedy and their teams had been exchanging words. If I remember correctly, someone from Speedy's corner threw water on Paulie while he was in the crowd. Paulie went ape**** and ended up getting threw out by security.

The dude holding Paulie back is his brother and the brunette who got the hell out of Dodge is Paulie's girlfriend.

OK, so having parted ways with Malignaggi and Taylor, what stars are left to shine in the DiBella constellation?

You've got Berto (who's still a years removed from going supernova)...and...that's it.

    Green?

 Yep sipping champagne after losing a draw in new york and Taylor. Di Bella must have some great things round the corner because he is looking a little short of draws at the minute to me.

Him buying out his contract, at least shows he's still willing to fight on. I hope he doesn't pursue a lesser career in Europe. He can still beat a few of the top 10 140 pounders I think.

Him against Zab would be an excellent fight

Paulie has basically come to the realization that he will never be an elite fighter so I guess he feels he will do better in the European market.

Thats too bad, im not really sure what Paulies thinking here....

Lou is the one that got him

    Cotto
    Hatton
    Diaz
    Diaz again
    Khan

Obviously we are in the dark on paulies reasons.... but i just dont see much logic behind it. Im glad they were able to stay friends though, thats what matters i suppose. Paulie is on the slide though and while he will continue to get fights because hes a big name/low risk kind of fight, id rather just see him retire.... hes not going to beat any elite fighters and he takes too much punishment in the ring despite him knowing for being 'slick'

I remember when Lou crashed into the ring embracing Paulie after his ndou win (i think it was that fight) and he was truly, genuinly happy for Paulie in a way you dont see with most promoters.... but im glad they ended it as friends.
