fighting clottey was the best available at the time. Mosley-Berto was schedule to fight before the earthquake in haiti. He already beat cotto so who else was there? Clottey was the best available.

Margarito, i don't really like this fight but it's the best sellable fight. Margarito is still a big name in boxing.

Juan manuel marquez name has been mentioned too but the dude is too old. He didn't look comfortable at 147 when he fought floyd. He looks too slow. Pac would beat him again.
