I dont think it will be much help at all however Pauls only hope is to KO Dan early and the best way to do this is to get a weight advantage, i think Greeny will beat him inside 6 but if there is a slight chance then an early KO to Paul is his only hope

Agree with most here that the weight limit is the weight limit and as long as you're under then so be it.

It does highlight an issue with the weights in boxing generally. They upped Cruiser from 86 to 91 making the distance between Light Heavy and Cruiser disproportionate relative to the other weight classes. When cruiser went up (and periodically as our population gets bigger/heavier) they should have reviewed the other divisions. My view is that the average male weight should represent 'middleweight' - or at around 80kgs today.

One of the better posts I've read in a while. Most males these days would fall between Super Middle - Heavy range.

catch weight, what a crock of ****. just green trying to get an already under done briggsy even more under done. so stoked to see plenty of people behind a true champion like briggsy. something needs to be done about green and mundine, there holding the sport back in this country.love to see briggsy give him a huge touch up win or loose

yeah funny how the lower are very close Minimum weight to middle weigh 13 weight classes and it goes from 105 to 160 55lbs different. Middle weight to heavy even a small heavy at 215 5 weight classes and 55Lbs difference and 25Lbs from LH to Cruiser crazy

They widen as its a similar(ish) % increase. 10 lbs extra at 105 means a lot more than 10 lbs at 175.

With all the catchweight bull**** thats occuring these days though, people are fighting at whatever they feel like for some diamante-silver pokemon belt anyway...

Just a question.. Do you guys think Briggs coming in over the agreed limit was a dig at Green's catchweight philosophy or do you think it was his inability to make the weight due to training, etc?

A bit of both? Two realisations at once - firstly, **** this will take it out of me to get down that far that quick. Secondly, why the **** should I if it's for a cruiserweight belt?
