Can Abraham still make Middleweight? If he doesn't make it through to the Semi's...is it a possibilty for him to move back down? It would make for some interesting bouts...
He was really struggling to make that weight. Going back down I think would be a terrible idea even though he's short compared to the current crop of top 168 men.
This was probably the main reason I asked...Abraham looks big and comfortable at the weight, but the guys have a good few inches on him. He had a hell of a lot of trouble with Dirrell.
aa looks very good at super middle weight, he said himself he has to lose 12 pounds before every supper middle weight fight, his weight is 180. and he said that he will possibly move up to light heavyweight. imo abraham will make it to the final and could win it. he is an underrated boxer with cruiserweight power and a good defense. so he is imo the whole package, has mentality, heart and will. he is the real deal. and he will knock froch cold out with one punch, you hear it first here!
froch is a hard fight for everyone, but i don't think that he will fight smart against abraham. if froch would fight smart and with defense i would give him a good shot, but i bet he will try to engage and there he will get knocked out. (there is a rumour that aa knocked marco huck cold out in sparring one year ago. and huck is a big guy and cruiserweight world champion) so i donÄt think that froch can take aa's power
Yeah you know...Froch has a big reach advantage, decent power himself, good chin. Should be a good bout.
No I don't think he can safely make the weight anymore. I'm sure he had to pull out of a fight as a result of trying to make 160. The only reason he hung around for so long at 160 was the hope he could face Pavlik.
I do favor Abraham in the match-up, I just don't see it as written in stone in any way. A lot of posters are acting like it's just a matter of time, taking it for granted that Froch is getting shattered in this one. Froch is awkward as hell but he has a method to his madness and he has won a lot with it.
Exactly, is there a possibility that Abraham can knock Froch out? Yes. Will he knock him out off one punch? I don't think so. Abraham is definitely the favourite...but both are coming off losses, so you never know.
Lately I've read many posts that referred to AA as a "small" SMW. That always strikes me as odd considering that the same guys claimed he was a "huge" middleweight. I doubt if he could go back down to 160. He's what? 30 years old, and built like a tank.
