The IBO may have picked up a lot of credibility in recent years as other titles slipped in theirs, but it's not a real world title fight, to me and really, the boxing world I don't think has the idea that Danny Green is really a cruiserweight champ. He's a light heavyweight former champ that has a lightly regarded world title that's not much better than a good national title like the NABF.

I took the under, by the way, IB. ...For a real amount, not a dollar.

Are we going to get an RBR going? I can't see the fight but I'd be happy just to make **** up and make it sound convincing.

Briggs comes out ready to get a knockout but he's just looking so rusty! Ooo, a massive right from Green, right on the button! RJJ is in the audience with a Prince T-shirt. As well as Sylvester Stallone, advertising "Rocky: Generations" which will be out in theatres at the end of 2012.

Yeah, it looks like seeing this live isn't in the cards.

I found this from a live Aussie blog - it'll be like when our old grandpappies used to listen to the fights on the radio, except we can use our iPods simultaneously!

7.03pm - Super-featherweights Luke Norton and Matt Garlett are being introduced now. We're getting closer to Green v Briggs ladies and gents. Garlett gets a loud cheer and applause from his home crowd.
7.00pm - Auction time for the boxing fans with a little bit of spare cash. Signed and framed West Coast jumper sold for $3000. Cameron keeps his dream of fighting Danny Green alive. Though he will have to drop quite a few kilos to get a cruiserweight bout with the Green Machine.
6.57pm - End of the fight. Both fighters head to their corners to await the result. Nice uppercut and left hook in quick succession from Cameron. A bit of John Butler Trio as everyone stands by for the decision. The winner is: 2002 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Shane Cameron. Not the most convincing performance but the Mountain Warrior did enough to hold off the Novocastrian in 10 rounds.
And the one and only John Kizon - clad in leather jacket with his trademark ponytail - has just entered the building. He's sticking up for the battler remember!!
6.47pm - One round to go. Cameron right jab is countered immediately by a right from Ammann during an entertaining ninth round.
6.43pm - End of round eight between Cameron and Ammann. It's likely to go down to the wire. Dockers coach Mark Harvey and one of his players, Paul Hasleby, enjoying the action ringside. Maybe Harvs is hoping to glean a few tips and pass them on to Aaron Sandilands so he can deal with "unfair treatment" from opposition ruckmen.
6.39pm - Ammann and Cameron getting tied up several times. Ammann landing blows with his left and right during the seventh round.
6.25pm - Cameron having a tough time three rounds in. Several swings have missed while Ammann has been able to connect with a few jabs to the side of the Kiwi's head.
6.17pm - NBL grand final MVP for the Perth Wildcats, Kevin Lisch, is enjoying all the action with mates from the comforts of a box. Haven't seen any colourful identities just yet but there are number of big blokes with mean tattoos around.
6.15pm - The Mountain Warrior from New Zealand, Shane Cameron, is now in the ring. He received a few cheers and some boos from the crowd. He's taking on Daniel Ammann from Newcastle. Second round has just started. Cameron hopes a win tonight will give him a match-up with the winner of the Green-Briggs clash.

Is it just the perspective or is there a huge difference in skull size between these two gents?

I don't know, but the man on the right is the one I'd trust not to eat my children.

They're going to punch each other in the face for money in about twenty minutes, according to the grapevine.
