why would you blame arum for the PAC-Floyd fall-out when its Floyd who keeps ducking the fight? Not even the pope could make this fight if one fighter keeps acting like a lady

 

Well in this day and age the game of promoting is even more ****ed up than it's ever been.

The two best examples of this are:

• Bob Arum from Top Rank can't make the Floyd fight so he is now trying to match his number one fighter against "two" other Top Rank boxers - Miguel Cotto, who Pacquaio has already destroyed and Antonio Margarito who is a cheating *******.

• GBP are also severely in house. Floyd, who's deals are brokered through GBP has fought four of said companies fighters in a row - Oscar, Hatton, Marquez and Mosley. Also listen out for prospective Khan opponents.

• Don King? I'd be here forever.

Top men like Chad Dawson, Tim Bradley and Devon Alexander (as examples) can't break through because Golden Boy and Top Rank are monopolising all the big fights.

That is ****ing the game up BIG TIME!

Yes, quite right.

That's why - despite how they are hopeless and shoot themselves in the foot all the time, the ABC's should be able to do something about, by enforcing Mando's etc.

BUT...they run themselves so poorly, and so corruptly, that they are almost irrelevant now anyway.

If one of the ABC's got their **** together, ranked everyone regardless of their standing with other organisations, and did away with Emeritus, Super, Diamond, Silver, interim belts, etc, and also stopped magically ranking 'favourite' *cough* promoters fighter wherever the promoter wants, then they'd clean up.

same with king........so dont get your hopes up

 

don king, dibella, and shaw can have all their fighter fight each other. they've got plenty of good fighters that can put up a worthy ppv..

Bob Arum has done more for boxing than any other living person. Possibley more than any person in history.

 

He was pretty quiet this past few months.

I'm curious as I think for all the bad he supposedly does, he has made alot of good things happen through out the years also.

 

Haglar, Hearns, Leonard, Duran, DeLahoya, Pac; we could start there.

Arum is a skunk; just not the stinky kind.

The man has been around forever, and as much as people like to trash him, he has put together more mega-fights, and probably promoted more world champions than anyone in history.
