Such a blatant dive. And from a guy who traded with Adamek for 24 rounds.

 

Boys it was even worse having to sit ringside for that debacle.

I think Green's stiff jab landed on top of Briggs' head. Tho it doesn't look with full power.

His 'attempts' to look woozy were pathetic. Somethings are hard to fake. He needs to go back to acting class.

 

OK. Green had the belt. Why the catch weight? Was this something Briggs asked for? If so...... Well, what can you say after what happened, or should I say, didn't happen in the ring.

For those trying to say that shot COULD have hurt him? He wouldn't have made it through sparring sessions if he could be hurt that easily. This was a dive. I hope he doesn't get paid and ticket holders get at least a partial refund. :deal

 

Green will only defend his title at agreed upon catch weights of his choosing. It's weird.

As to the punch - it's a jab, and it hardly touched him. No, it could in no way have legitimately caused his "reaction".

 

What the hell, briggs made a bet against himself i think.
I had a bet on the fight not going the distance but the bookie refuses to pay out yet cause there is a investigation going on!

 

I'm glad it is being investigated. I think Green, somewhere in his tirade, promised Briggs wouldn't get paid. Ticket holders are owed.

 

In fairness, the ticket holders got a full evening of live boxing before that (although understandably most were probably there for the main event to support the local favorite).

If Cintron's purse wasn't withheld (or countless others who have been to blame for main events shitting the bed) I don't see how they're going to be able to yank Briggs'. He showed up and he got in the ring, and no matter how blatant the dive there's no way to prove it in court.

 

Can we all just admit that Danny Green is a legend killer who slays praised heroes with his ATG jab alone?...And has super-cool tattoos?

 

Green is just as much to blame for this as Briggs. This fight shuld have never taken place. Green is just as big a joke as Briggs.

I am gutted that Briggs career has come to this.

He was a true warrior 24 rds of blood with Adamek to this.

 

Unless Briggs has no skull there is no way that shot could knock him out. ****ing disgraceful, i'm no boxer but I've taken shots a thousand times harder than that whilst sparring.
