Sr staying in the gym is his job! He's a functional crack head He knows it cost $$$ for "ready rock" and he can't go apply at McDonalds or at Wall Street. Ariza isn't linked to any roids at all....it's not like Andre Ward who is using Conte although I don't have any problems with that. Ward just has to know that he'll be looked at a little closer than most due to Conte's history. But he' did his time and he deserves a shot at redemption.

You make valid points, and I don't understand how race couldn't be a factor. You touch on a valid point in terms of him not being humble enough for "the man". You see this with guys like Chad Johnson, Terrell Owens, Barry Bonds, and several others. Not that any of these guys don't have deficiencies that are valid, they are magnified because they haven't been "broke". I understand why some would this would upset some, it upsets me, but to deny the validity is a bit shortsided. Not that it would apply to everyone, and not that anyone who it does apply to would admit it, but it doesn't make it less valid.

**Go back and check out the posts made by these telling you to go back to lurking, and that your post sucks etc, obviously they are beacons of intelligence and have contributed a ton in terms of rational thought to the board.

 

I don't buy the whole race card issue simply b/c it's not prevalent in the sport or world of boxing. Paulie who has a very arrogant and flamboyant style gets a lot of harsh critisim similar to Floyd....just on a different level.

But their corny personalities and over the top comments make it easy to hate them. Shane is black, Tyson is black Jones is Black, Toney is too....but they don't get the same harsh critism Floyd gets simply b/c they don't have the kind of personality that people love to hate. Floyd does.

It's easy to pull the race card but it's easily shot to **** when people see a complete picture.

Nah....I think "a functional crack head" is pretty much a cornerstone regarding the Mayweather family.

Floyd ran from the challenge manny posed by creating the platform for Olympic style testing based on accusations he and his daddy planted when they knew the public would be calling for him to step up. He's done a great job being elusive not only in the ring....but he's even better out of the ring.

The whole "blood weakens me" is actuall a WELL documented situation that Manny has always stated way back in 2004....a lot of people feel weak after giving blood just like some folks are weakened from heights, flying in planes or enclosed spaces :hey.....
