:deal They probably aint chuckling just thinking told you so, i guess that lawsuit wont be happening now. NSW have led by example here whereas other boxing authorities (WA) still treat their fighters like its the 1920's
Well, he has been sparring baby pete mitrevski. If he was ko'd by him in sparring, jesus, pete is not a big hitter, and no where near as skilled as green. Still looks like a dive
as always a lot of people seam to have known a lot but didnt say anything until after the fight happens all the time on here :deal
What do you mean 'in a very bad way'? It hurts to think of Briggs being remembered like this. As you say mate if he was knocked out in sparring and was allowed to step in the ring it is very sad. Shame on Green and all the people that set Briggs up for this and let it go on, abit of money for a name from a fighter who obviously isn't a fighter anymore.
Makes you wonder how many eyes oz boxing has. This must be the,what...985th black eye in the last five years??? Maybe, just maybe, to use paul keatings line "this was the recession we had to have". It cant get any lower. This isnt just about briggs not getting up. That was just a parody of the whole farce...green promotions, the ibo, the wa boxing commission, main event...the lot.
This whole thing is easily boxing's biggest bummer of 2010, and will not be topped...yet some idiots will think Mayweather-Pacquiao being on again and then off again is worse.

Briggs was in Graylands Hospital last night. it's a kick in the arse away from Challenge stadium and the right type of hospital for him. http://www.nursing.health.wa.gov.au/working/graylands.cfm
Green needs to cop flak for this. If he is truly guttemd by it and feels for fans then he wont fight shane cameron. Cameron is finished and is a nothing fight. Dust will settle and the green spin will start again. The ibo? Doesnt matter....its all been said before

Rumour has it he was ko'ed in training just three days before the fight, someone has to put their hand up on the issue regarding a duty of care here. I believe Danny threw a financial lifeline to his mate but they didn't realise just how far Paul had slipped. You could see in his training he was a million miles away from the Paul Briggs of 5 years ago. I hope they do get to the bottom of all this because this is the biggest black eye for our sport I've witnessed in 36 years. Rod, I might be losing a bit of my memory.... what black eye happened in boxing 36years ago - 1974? which you are comparing with the Briggs v Green result ???
Suicide Booth: you had this to say in two of your posts in this thread..... "Briggsy, the former criminal, comes through and does what he does best! " and "After reading Briggs's biography it makes PERFECT sense to me." I haven't read Briggs biography but will try to get hold of it (now).... from you memory, and on what you have indicated in your comments, could you describe what crimes Briggs committed ?
