Only guy I can think of is Indian Red Lopez, bb, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't a HOFer.

hh, how am I going to stump you ? yes the great Billy Petrolle, who wore an old NAVAJO INDIAN blanket for every fight in his illustrious career in the 1930s...
P.S his mgr was Jack Hurley during his career who later on managed Harry Mathews who Marciano kod...

I believe hh is right, don't know if he wore one for every fight though.

Dilworth nativeBilly Petrolle begins his 11-year professional career. Nicknamed "The Fargo Express," Petrolle entered the ring with a colorful Indian blanket over his shoulders rather than a robe. He was named to the international boxing hall of fame in 1962.

He probably does for some of them.

About 90% of the Burt's brain teasers I need to go searching for, at the very least to confirm what I thought the answer was.

But its quite clear hhascup knows most of the answers from memory and if he doesnt for some of them and is looking them up then his extensive historical knowledge assists him quickly finding the answer.

I had a solid 15 min google scour for this one and I couldnt find ****...never would have thoughht Petrolle.

Thanks, and you are 100% correct!

On this question, Burt wrote that he was a HOFer but not a Champion, so that brings it down a lot. I read this years ago but couldn't remember who it was. I then went through the list of HOFers that weren't Champions. First I thought it was Tommy Gibbons, But when I got to the name of Billy Petrolle, a light bulb went off in my head. I then checked it out and sure enough, Petrolle it was.
